Stock console (no mod chips) with a custom shell and cooling/LED mods. I used to reball dead consoles and sell them refurbished and used my time doing that to mod my own console with quieter fans to prevent overheating and custom LEDs to follow a Gears of War theme around when Gears 2 launched. When the console is off it looks like a glossy black elite.

I was showing my son all of the stuff I used to do with modding consoles since I've been wanting to make more custom projects recently and he wanted to see my old 360. We dug out my console and got it set up to play some games I never finished getting achievements in and was surprised at how happy I was with the changes I did almost 20 years ago. He's now playing through some OG Xbox and 360 games on it that were still in storage with it and he's loving it.

This was my second Xbox 360 as the first had an RROD that got me into repairing consoles, first gen Elite with HDMI. Everything is stock with the console interiors but an upgraded cooling fan, replaced heat sink and thermal conpound, additional LEDs piggy backing on the fan pin headers, and the power button LEDs on the wireless daughter board were swapped to red with orange error LEDs.

I miss abusing the hell out of this console. I used to play all night long every night on it. So glad it still works after all of the time I used it and how long it's been in storage.
