RIP direct hopes. This game being an undated Spring release was my main hope for something by mid April.
Since this is confirmed for May 21, we really might not get a full Nintendo Direct until June.

The “creature research” stuff reminds me a bit of Monster Hunter for some reason. Interesting to see it combined with platforming.
And the option to name the species is very funny.

I still don’t really understand what this game is. Is it a platformer? Is it a creature collecting game?

At the very least seems like a lotta creature variety just by looking at the thumbnail. Crafted World had a rather pitiful selection of enemies.

It looks cute but I’m not really sold on it if all the levels are tiny mini-challenges like what was shown.
Hopefully it’s a solid platformer too.

I’m just not sure about this one. It looks kind of slow paced and more exploration based. You have to take notes on critters to progress? It would be better if that was an optional thing for bonuses while you can just play through it straight forward like Yoshi’s Island. Guess we’ll wait and see.
