Is there a way to polish the shell of my old 3DS to give it its old shine?

I got my 3DS not long ago, it's beautiful but it already has a bit of use. I would like to know if there is any way to make its top shell shiny again, I thought about replacing it but I don't really like the black color that the ones online have
