Got a used SX that was used for 4 years. Runs normal but noticed at bottom looking though vent (in pic) that a bunch of dust was gathered just on top of something

Do I have to take it cart or can I use my air machine?

Is there anything to look for on a used console that might be a warning sign? The back connections look like new and nothing messed up

In my experience just popping off the back panel and maybe pulling out the top fan (held in by one screw) if you really wanna get in there will pretty much cover you. Consult a teardown if you’re not sure, but it’s a simple few screws (one under a sticker and another under that oval shaped tab at the top) and a pry around the edge clips to get in.

    2. I mean you could blow a can of compressed air through the console and that will clean some of the dust off (provided you use it correctly, and even then not very well though)?

I use an electric duster and just move it back and forth on those back vents while it’s horizontal or upside-down so most of the dust gets pushed out the top. Ends up spinning the fan but Ive done this for years and have no problems with the console
