Well, Rhythm Heaven literally has a new game coming out soon

What is Rhythm Heaven doing there when there is a new game announced and coming out **this year**?
Also putting Donkey Kong spin offs is not obscure nor worth mentioning. How many types of Mario spin offs haven’t had a new game again? Probably a dozen or so.

Never say never. In 2020 no one thought Family Detective Club would ever get new content and in 2021 it got a worldwide remake of the two games.
And people thought it was a cute detail but didn’t think something else would come from this, and in 2024 it got a new entry.

I don’t think Adventures of Lolo is technically a Nintendo franchise. I think HAL developed and published all of them and they’re still considered an independent company, Nintendo hasn’t bought them.
Also Rhythm Heaven is coming back…..

Also, I wouldn’t call the Donkey Kong spinoffs “an obscure franchise”, it’s literally just spinoffs of the Donkey Kong series that had a release just a few months ago. That’s like saying Mario’s Pinball Land is a forgotten franchise even though the Mario franchise is alive and well

Something I’ve realized over the years is that it’s hard to keep making new entries for each neglected franchise, the default state is for them to be dormant. And this is only something I see with video games and not movies, where people are usually satisfied after a trilogy.
Especially in the 2010s I think a lot of Nintendo fans operated on a “Revive this series!” mentality that’s diminished now. For example, many Mother series fans now realize that the franchise is properly “finished” and doesn’t need constant sequels like Final Fantasy. Some games like Pilotwings were tech demo games that don’t really fit in the modern landscape. I also think F-Zero falls into that category, but I think they should make more anyway lol.
I will say Nintendo has been good about bringing stuff back lately, Detective Club and Trace Memory coming back was kind of amazing.
Anyway, I would love to see a third Sin and Punishment game, in HD graphics it would be awesome 😎

I’m really hope 1080 avalanche can get an nso release at some point but that’s probably going to be quite difficult as the game uses 3rd party music.
