Hey! How big is your SD card? If it’s over 32 Gigabytes then it might not be formatted correctly. SD cards over 32GB typically come formatted in EXFat, but a 3DS can only read cards formatted in Fat32. You can’t use Windows File Explorer to format it but an application such as Rufus will do the trick.
