Hey all! This subreddit showed up in my feed, and I just wanna say I'm thrilled to see such an interest in the 3DS a decade after it was popular. Y'all inspired me to open mine up for the first time in years and start playing. So here's the thing… When I got it, I sharpied and painted it. I got some painter's tape, cut out a design, and sharpied in the lines for a really clean, but flat layer, then I spray-painted clear coat over the top. It liked GREAT for awhile, but then the clear coat rubbed off, and took most of the sharpie with it. The brown splotches on the top are clear coat bits I can easily scrape off with my thumb. The problem is that there are scratches in the shell. What do you guys think? Should I paint over it with the same design, or try for a different design? And does anyone have any input on what I can do about the scratches? Second pic is a recreation of what the original design looked like.

EDIT: Apparently I can’t edit my post. My pics posted out of order. The FIRST pic is the original design.
