I recently brought my old, dusty 3DS XL back to life after it had been sitting unused for quite a while. I replaced several parts, including the circle pad, battery, back plate, and added new screen protectors for both the top and bottom screens.

Lately, I’ve been playing Picross 3D and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, which involve a lot of stylus sliding and tapping. I’ve noticed that my screen protector seems to have accumulated quite a few scratches, and I honestly can’t remember if it was always like this before.

Is this kind of scratching normal with regular use, or could it be because I’m using a cheap off-brand screen protector? Would switching to a higher-quality one (like HORI) help prevent this?

For context, it doesn’t affect gameplay at all. The screen still works perfectly—it’s just a bit unpleasant to look at. 😅

    Thanks in advance!

Normal. May clean them with alcohol (only the screen though, it ruins the plastic)
