Take this with a grain of salt, but I remember someone saying they got past it by leaving their unit on overnight, opened, plugged in and without touching it.
I don’t know if that’s accurate; but worth a try if no one has any other solutions.

My guess is that the slider came off the little tab that actuates the 3D. You might be able to reseat it by taking off the top backplate.
I had to 3D print a new slider myself because I dropped and lost the original while doing a shell swap.
