Made In Canada? (New Mario Pins)

So I recently received my My Nintendo 40th Anniversary Mario Galaxy Pins.

But I noticed a few peculiar details about the packaging it came in, these being.

– The bag it arrived it was labeled "Made in Canada" in bold black font.

– The pins were very off to the sides (at least compared to promo shots).

– The "Made in United States" was redacted with black marker and has a "Made in Canada" sticker on it instead.

Is this Nintendos way of working around tariffs and potentially related to the lawsuit against the United States Government??
