“How can I goon without my friends judging me?” Set the game you’re buying as a private purchase and you should be able to set your wishlist and other store stuff as private too.

Set ‘Game details’ to private (in your profile’s privacy settings) to hide your wishlist. But why don’t you just wishlist and buy on your alt?

There you can set which games you own , wishlist , time spent etc…
