Genuinely more excited for this game than wind and waves, it’s been a long time since we could battle with any Pokemon, it’s a shame it doesn’t have much in terms of game modes, hopefully more will come in future

Looking forward to Champions. The sentiment he touched on here has always rung true for me. The breeding and manipulating of Pokemon stats for competitive always seemed out of reach.
I remember one of my housemates in college spending like all his free time breeding Pokemon for perfect stats. It just always seemed so daunting. And after seeing how effective the Grit was in Legends Arceus, I knew my average Pokemon team would stand no chance in competitive matches without the same dedication and stat management.
Champions letting you just willy nilly adjust everything almost sounds too good to be true. I’ll bet some may feel a bit slighted at all the effort they’ve put in just for it to be this easy later lol. But hopefully it’s seen as a net positive by the community.

Whatever “best kept secret” is, it’s still best kept, as I read the article and still can’t figure out what it is. That aside, here’s a bit I think people will appreciate being cherry-picked out:
>Hoshino also acknowledges that with over 1000 Pokémon, offering all of them to players right out of the gate would not only be overwhelming, but a balancing nightmare.
>“Our current plan is to have these different [sets of available Pokémon] and have that change over time. So the metagame of the Pokémon that are available at any given time may change as time goes on,” he said.

So make it free. You’re making millions and millions of dollars from the games and cards. The battle simulator doesn’t need in-game purchases and starter packs, it’s insulting.
