I just bought a ps4 with games as a package deal. And when i got home i checked all the games that comes with it, and i noticed some spots on this disc, can i still insert it in the console? Or it might cause something bad when inserted

I highly doubt it would cause damage to the system itself. Worst case scenario it’ll just say the disc cannot be read.

The PS5 doesn’t directly read discs during gameplay. Instead, once a game is installed from the disc to the console’s internal SSD, the system retrieves game data from the SSD for faster access. Therefore, any scratches or damage on the disc after installation won’t affect the ability to play the game, since the console no longer relies on the physical disc during play.

    3. It wont ruin your system at all. But the only way to know if it will play is to try it yourself.

    4. That’s disc rot. I would recommend you to throw it away and check the other discs if those are the same (even if its a tiny dot). Definitely do not put the cases together, there’s a high probability the cases are also contaminated. Clean the rest of the discs with Isopropyl alcohol.

Check YouTube videos about disc rot and you’ll know what to do.
