14% CTR but only 70 Wishlists. PeopaHi everyone, I’m developing a pixel art action platformer called ‘Axe and Claw’.
According to my Steamworks analytics, I have a surprisingly high Click-Through Rate (14%), which means the capsule art is working. However, people are leaving the page without adding the game to their wishlists (only 70 so far).
I have a demo and proper tags. I’m worried that my trailer or screenshots aren’t convincing enough once the player clicks in.
Could you please ‘destroy’ my Steam page and tell me what’s wrong? Is the gameplay loop not clear? Does the art style look unpolished? I really need your honest feedback.
Ok so my first thought is that 2D Platformers are just a very saturated genre, and especially with something like Silksong, the entry bar is relatively high
It’s also a bit all over the place, like your trailer features mainly platforming and about 5s of combat, in your description there are 2 clips and both of them are more combat than platforming, for your screenshots the 11th is the first that features platforming beyond a basic jump, you talk about a dramatic narrative in your description but literally none of that comes across in screenshots or trailer, so I’m not really sure what kinda game you are going for because there’s always a different aspect in focus
To get into the game a bit, some aspects simply seem not fun (like the hidden trap in your trailer), personally I don’t feel like the feelings you describe actually come across in your environment design (but I’m also not a pixel-art fan so maybe thats part of it), and the AI usage is simply bound to turn some people away

Steam Page: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/4466830/Axe_And_Claw/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4466830/Axe_And_Claw/) click but don’t stay. Roast my Steam page and destroy it.
I don’t think I saw any gameplay at all
