There is a little raised bubble that seems to move around as i use the joystick, I’ve also noticed sometimes it seems like the rubber is sliding around a bit during use. Is there any way to fix this without taking apart the system? Should I refrain from using it if I don’t want to break the part off? I’m bummed, this thing ran me quite a bit of money and the system is otherwise flawless.

    1. Easily one of the simplest replacements to do. At the end of the day everything goes bad eventually, I would obsess about keeping 10 year + system mint condition; that’s unreasonable.

Take good care of it and do repairs when time takes its toll and it’ll last another 50 years.

    2. If the ‘sliding around’ problem is being able to rotate the circle pad by around 10 degrees then that’s normal and it does that on every system.

    3. Mine has also had that bubble for several years and it’s never progressed any worse. Continue just being normally careful with it, and regular use shouldn’t make it worse any faster.
