Included are before and after pics of cleaning my series x out. I bought this console in summer 2021. I usually clean it every 6 months or so but I've been super busy with moving and working, and we now have 2 cars which has made the whole situation much crazier for my electronics. Expensive OLED tvs, laptops, series x etc. If you are diligent they will last. My one x lasted me nearly 10 years. I expect the same from my series x.

Meant to type. 2 cats. Lol. The hair is terrible. I used a T8 torque bit to open it there is only 2 screws. An electric dust gun made for computers and keyboards. And an old toothbrush.
Never underestimate the power of internal cleaning.

I haven’t cleaned my Xbox One X I bought at launch like 9 years ago and it still runs like a champ. 👍
I don’t have carpet or pets or kids around it so mine is clean as a whistle.
The concerning amount of posts with peoples series x kicking the bucket had me go clean mine out just today. It still doesnt feel like it should be happening as frequently as it is, but mine was pretty dusty inside too.
I’ve been buying consoles since the 80’s. Haven’t cleaned one out yet, haven’t had one fail yet. Thanks, but no thanks.
