Witcher 3, I thought it was too boring and controls are complex. Then after I got a new computer, I thought I’d use Witcher 3 as a benchmark, and forced myself to go past White Orchard.
Needless to say, I’ve completed 2 runs for 1 Triss/empress and 1 Yennefer/witcher ending, and now am going for a triple and this time with mods.

CSGO, that was in 2017. I still play the game in 2026, it’s really the only game I play that matters to me

Fallout New Vegas. Younger me just didn’t have the patience but older me enjoyed it a lot.

Sky: Children of the Light. I tried it once in like 2020, couldn’t even get past the first realm. Back in 2022, I tried it again, and now I’m like 1000 hours in and have even met one of my Sky friends irl! Almost every day, we do dailies together before I go to work 🙂

Vampire Slayer. I didn’t care too much when I first gave it a shot. Then there was a period of time I craved mindless collectathons, and it scratches a really unique itch for that urge

For me, it was Baldur’s Gate 3. I wasn’t really a fan of turn-based games technically speaking, I had never played one (or D&D). But after Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I started to understand it, and now I’m loving it.

Warframe. Didn’t like it at first, gave it another go one year later. It’s been 10 years now. I have nearly 6000 hours.
Death Stranding, also. Tried it two or three times, it didn’t click… I decided to give it one LAST chance. And it did clicked. I finished this masterpiece, and I preordered the 2 on PC, and I’m enjoying it.

Warframe. Tried it on PS4, got annoyed at the controller layout, tried it again recently on PC and have loved it since.

First time, rage quit.
Second time, it was peak. Addicted. Life got in the way, put it down for a month. Muscle memory gone, have no idea where I am.
One of these days I’m gonna finish this damn game. Third time’s the charm.
