oof I was wlooking forward to that. althought PS4 is left behnd for several high-profile fighting games this year, last-gen still gets to keep up with the latest– Street fighter 6, Guilty Gear stIVe, Fatal Fury City of Wolves, Undernight In Birth 2, Soul Calibur 6 and others
PS4 is missing out on Marvel Tokon. Invincible VS, Avatar the Fighting Game, Dead or Alive 6 Last Round and others ( not to mention Tekken 8, Nen Impact etc)

Damnn I was really excited actually
The state of fighting games nowadays… Only 12 playable characters lol. I’d rather emulate ps2 and ps3 era fighting games that had like 40 characters and some even more
I know this will come across kind of mean, but the console is 13 years old.
With the newest generation being almost 6 years old.
2 years ago sony showed that “monthly active consoles” were 50/50 between ps4 and 5. I’m positive that as each month passes, we are swinging to ps5 being the dominant market.
It takes time to port a game to a different device, especially if it’s an under powered one. There’s standardization across game dev and any hitch cost money. As a business decision it just makes sense. You invest all time and effort into the platforms with the highest install base and put out a more quality product quicker to get your investment (years of development) back.
Sucks for everyone still on ps4, but it also just makes sense.
Now that they are raising the PS5 prices, they will be pushing more of the upcoming games to the newer system. 💲💲💲
