I recommend returning it or you could fix the charging port, but you have to take a high risk

If it were me i would take that to a cell phone repair place, they can probably have the port replaced by a profesional. If your good at soldering you could DIY but i wouldnt risk learning on a galaxy edition.

I wonder why?… needs replacement, send it back or (if you have the tools + experience) install a new one yourself!

Dumb question but did you try forcing it in a little? I had a DS PHAT charger from Amazon that needed a little force to go in the first couple times.

Maybe there should be a new sub called r/3dssupport for this kind of stuff

China chargers aren’t the greatest . Try slowly inserting it . I’ve seen some aftermarket charger only work when they are 3/4 in . U can try gentle insert and wiggle to see if u get a orange light but id start with a know good working charger

Get either a repair shop or yourself to solder on a USB-C port

Alternatively you can charge it with the charging dock. I saw in a comment somewhere that it uses the metal contact pads to charge rather than the port, but I don’t own it so I cannot confirm
