Not heard much discussion on Super Meat Boy 3D which came out yesterday.

I never really played the original so was a little skeptical that I would enjoy the style of platformer which is punishingly difficult short levels.

But I have finished the first world (light mode only) of levels, A+ time on every level and found all the secrets and have absolutely loved it.

The challenge is very fair and it is more a case of exploring the level to learn the best route rather than crippling unfairness.

Tried a couple of dark world levels and they also look very fair but obviously a lot toughter, thinking of tackling those after the light levels for each world are done, kind of a second playthrough.

From what i can tell it seems to really capture the essence of the 2D original but in a third dimension.

One complaint is the achievement list looks ridiculous, most achievements require you to complete whole worlds without dying, which seems insane. I got 1 achievement in 90 minutes which was for finding a secret level.
