Dont ignore the loading screen icon. “Take your time” This is a 120-150 hour game to beat so take it slow.
Don’t skip dialogue. If you start skipping dialogue you’re in the wrong series.
Save your money early on. If you can manage dont buy ANY weapons or armor. You find better gear in dungeons and you need to save most your money for persona fusion.
If persona recruiting and/or fusion are giving you trouble feel free to use a guide. On that note the game has a lot of tooltips especially in the velvet room.
Use ALL of your save slots! You can get softlocked if you are too careless. The game will let you go back 2 weeks to correct your mistake but dont let it get that far.
The skills are split into Physical and Magical types. Physical takes HP while Magic takes SP. Physical attacks are broken and will carry you through the WHOLE game if you’re having trouble.
The game is all about targeting weaknesses so keep a wall rounded party that can offset your MC strengths and weakness.
Dungeons are about managing SP so keep that in mind. The whole game is just a bunch of systems to manage really.
