I have a Pokemon display cabinet and I have been extremely busy with family and life unfortunately, so I have not played in almost two years. I left it fully charged and shut it off.
I go to play today expecting to charge it but it turns on immediately to a full battery.
Other devices from other brands die while sitting so I have to give kudos to Nintendo… although this 3DS has been used less than 5 hours in total since new.

Nintendo handhelds are probably the Nokia of video game consoles
Best to store these kinda things with about half battery rather than full or empty
