My error was self inflicted. Played one of the Star Oceans back in the day, progressed to the last disc where I faced off against a boss whose attacks damaged a certain type of stat on all my characters. Turns out I didnt level that stat my entire playthrough. Never did get to finish it 🙁

Happened to me with Xenogears. Last disk, near end of the game. Never finished it.

Mine was FFVIII disc 2, specifically during the garden battle FMV scenes. I still shudder to this day watching that part play out, thinking it’s going to randomly stick/buffer/lag or something lol.

FFVIII for me. Same place every time with two different disc sets. I didn’t beat the game until I repurchased it on my Switch
