I am a student at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, and I am pursuing a degree in Sociology.
I am conducting a coursework research project on social ties in online gaming communities, with a particular focus on MMORPG communities. The purpose of the study is to examine how social ties are formed and maintained, how stable they are, and whether they extend beyond the game itself. I am also comparing responses from players and non-players in order to better understand whether online games can serve as a meaningful space for communication and social connection.
The survey is anonymous, voluntary, and takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete.
