My cat knocked down this 3DS – can I fix this myself?

My cat knocked this off a shelf and when it hit the ground the blue colored part broke and the top screen isn‘t working anymore.

I’m thinking if I buy a new shell and place the technics of this 3DS into the new shell it should work, right? Is that hard? A shell would cost me about 30€, a new 3DS would cost me 80€+, so at least cost wise that seems like a good option I guess
