An $80 key card and 75 GB?!

Edit: the game being 80 is fine especially since you get the dlc too but I just wish some of it was on a cartridge to save space.

    2. I know they’re saving money with game key cards, but they must know they’re losing sales because of it.

    3. Been really struggling to pay that much for a download. This has nothing to do with key cards, I feel the same way with buying something on the eshop. I’ll buy indies digitally all the time, but everything above 30 bucks is a tough ask to me if I do not get a physical medium.

Maybe I’ll have to suck it up. I’ve already skipped Pokopia, but this was another game I was really looking forward to.

Never had a problem with expensive physical games, mind you. I skipped the Mario Kart bundle even though I had to buy extra to get it on cart. It’s just hard for me to justify when I get nothing tangible for that much money.

    4. It’s the base game + the DLC, so yeah $80USD makes sense.

For anyone on the fence I highly recommend it. I’ve put over a thousand hours (not even high among ER players) into it and I’m not even close to finished doing playthroughs.

My only advice is to wait and see what performance looks like. That should be the deciding factor for a lot of people, because the game requires incredibly precise timing. One frame stutter can cause you to lose a boss attempt, unlike in other story-based games where it’s simply very annoying

I assumed it would be a key card… looks like Ill just buy this digitally on sale then.

I refused to pay $70 for Tears of the Kingdom, so $80 for this is also a pass. Used or on a good sale I guess. Too bad, I’ve been looking forward to it

At least we got a release date: “This item will be released on December 31, 2026.”

Oof. I was considering rebuying it for my collection but not if it’s a keycard.

    9. Are they ever gonna announce when its releasing, damn hahahaha this is ridiculous now

No shit. The carts cannot hold more than like 60gb.

Not surprised its way to big to ever fit on a cartridge so a key card was really the only option. Never seen a sale lower than like 35-40 for the base game, so with the dlc I am also not surprised on the price. Still will likely at least wait until a sale that brings it down to like 60.

    12. Never played it. Excited it’s finally coming to a console I own. But yeah… that’s too rich for my blood. But in a year if it goes on sale, I’ll probably bite.

    13. $80 for an inferior version of the game and they don’t even give the game to you, you still have to download it.

Perhaps the people complaining about the GKC would like to have a code-in-box. I know it’s not ideal, but at which point do you just stop complaining about it? Pokopia is on a GKC and I’ve barely heard a peep about it. Is $80 USD a bit much? I would say yeah, but it’s not gonna people from buying it. Pick your battles. 🤷🏾‍♂️

80 bucks and they cheaped out with a GKC? That’s just absurd. Good think Ninty has all that Wii and Switch money stashed away, because they have to be taking a hit.
