Too lazy to read, is there anything interesting in here worth pointing out?

This interview has 3 parts and I’ll try to do a summary of the interesting bits for each

Part 1 – Living beings with a will and personality

      * Development started around 2017, after things had settled down on Miitomo.
      * Wanted to make a new Tomodachi Life game after they experienced all that they could n the 3DS one.
      * Did not want to continue with the existing development style by simply added new items because as there would be not many new things to experience. “..it would’ve inevitably turned into a quest for quantity. Besides, once players had seen everything the game had to offer, they’d have eventually tired of it again.”
      * “So, we started development with the direction of leveraging user-generated content—also known as UGC… The concept of *Tomodachi Life* is to be “the ultimate inside joke game” that can be enjoyed among people who are close to each other or share things in common. We felt that UGC, which lets players create whatever they want, fit well with this concept. ”
      * The new power of the switch allowed them more ways to interact with Miis.
      * Still, even with advanced technology they realized that making Miis more visually appealing looked off. So they only touched up some visual things to make the miis look similar to the box art of the previous games.
      * They also tried t find a balance with the text-to-speech. It was a little bit too realistic, so they intentionally processed it a bit more to sound robotic
      * “We wanted to preserve the existing *Tomodachi Life* feeling, while making suitable updates to adapt to the times. It was challenging to strike the perfect balance.”
      * The ability to pick up miis and force them to interact with others was a debug feature at first, but made its way to the final game.
      * “…the real fun comes from not knowing what the Mii character is thinking, or what’s going to happen next.”
      * Miis are innocent beings. They are akin to an adorable child. They are not grounded or logical. They are silly, eccentric and absurd.
      * The Mii characters in *Tomodachi Life* are living beings that inhabit that world, with a will and personality.”
      * “What it means to be a Mii character in *Tomodachi Life*… The fun of observation because each character has their own personality… I think it was really important that the whole development team was aligned on these concepts from the beginning of development.”
