Thinking about repairing my 3ds but i’m not sure what the issues is
was gifted this 3ds and was told i can try and fix it and it seems like there’s an issue with the hinge but i’ve heard 3ds can be hard to work on and ive never done it before so was curious if it was worth it
this is the hinge in question and i notice it separates when i fully open it

Screen ribbon cable, 95% sure. The console shutting off when getting the screen into a certain angle is a dead giveaway. It’s a nightmare to repair for a beginner and I sincerely recommend you let someone with experience work on your unit or you run the risk of causing additional damage.
