Where do I begin😞

Long story so buckle up if your interested in a good read! I used to own a 3ds back I the day but sold it. Recently I’ve been getting the itch to play some of my old ds/3ds games so I thought what the hell I’ll see how much a 3ds is going for now. HOLY**** I didn’t know they were so much! I found someone selling this SNES 3dsxl on Facebook marketplace. So I met him 1 hour away same day didn’t bring a charger nor did I test the system out. I was just to excited to be getting a “deal” I went home and tried charging it. Waited an hour didn’t turn on light was on but screen was black. Thought ok must be really dead. Waited some more nothing. Ended up taking it to a 3ds repair specialist local game store recommended them. After dropping it off and waiting over a month I get a call saying the 3ds repair guru quit and that I have to come pick it up. They gave me the part for free so I guess that’s something. But now I’m stuck with a broken 3ds and just honestly don’t know what to do now!
