I think they are working on making a cheaper version but you would be able to play only Microsoft first party games and online gameplay

This is the price they brought in last year.
They did say they were going to grandfather EU members at the price they were paying in November, so long as their subscription remains active.

It was only all over the (gaming) news in October? And in the months afterwards, endless analyses about whether Game Pass was still worth it at this price point?

That’s the reason many friends of mine and myself abandoned xbox … we are not subscribers of game pass and sold our series consoles. Let Satya celebrate now.
