Refund the game, buy it again once refund has been processed. Unless you have more than 2 hours playtime. In which case, I dunno message support. Sometimes they can be nice with stuff like this but don’t get your hopes up

    2. I’m not 100%, but if you contact steam support they will likely give you the difference if it was so soon after. I’ve done it once before.

Contact Steam support, heard multiple times before they will give back the difference if the sale popped up shortly after you bought it, but do it sooner rather than later

You could ask for a refund argument it’s on sale and you want to leverage the discount.

Valve’s own ToS regarding refunds states you’re completely within your right to ask for a refund to purchase again for the sale price, theres is a law in Canada where companies are required to refund you the difference should you buy something and it go on sale shortly after.

Get a refund and buy a better game than chud souls?

Like, even ignoring the REALLY shitty lead dev… LOTF(2) just isn’t that good of a game. The shadow dimension sounds cool at first but you quickly realize that level geometry and paths change in a way that it is less like you are exploring the same area in two worlds and more like you are just progressing each area until you toggle to the next.

And the enemy and character design means that you either luck into a meta build (usually by checking the wiki because the game chooses to hide item and spell descriptions behind attribute reqs) or you are fighting damage sponges as early as the first (real) boss.

But yeah. The official Valve policy (from their CSRs, at least) is to refund the game and then buy it again. Just understand that can make things messy if you end up not liking the game after all, but a proper ticket and an explanation should do you.

    7. Messaging steam support will have them refund you the difference. I’ve done it before a few times, it’s pretty quick. I’d recommend that over refunding and buying it again.

    8. Contact support. Iirc they even have this issue in their FAQ sections and tell you how to proceed

I can only echo what other people already pointed out: contact support. They’re super chill and will definitely fill up your Steam wallet with the difference.

You don’t have to refund it, make a support post and they will give you back the difference

Steam will usually honor a sale if the purchase was recent enough from what I’ve seen, shoot them a support ticket and see if they’ll help you before you try refunding the game.

    12. Subnautica went on an even bigger sale 1 week after i bought it. I had 5 hours in it so they said they refuse to refund even though they know how bad that feels.

Wait… Is this current? I’ve been waiting for this sale!!! Work needs to hurry and end!

    14. If this happens and you request a refund Valve will refund you and allow you to buy it again

    15. I think in the refunds there’s an actual reason that’s like “Bought the game right before sale” or something like that
