It still works because all the cabling runs through the left hinge. Honestly at this point, and given the general condition of this device, I’d just glue the right hand back together and find a hinged case.

I went to Amazon to try find you a hinged case but they don’t make hinged cases for these 🙁 Sadly you might have to shell swap, or maybe you can get a donor n2ds and maybe swap boards and sd card over so you don’t lose your memories!
