All I ask is that Sony puts Modern Warfare 2 2009 on the store to be able to download digitally. You've always been able to do this with Xbox. Why is it so hard for Sony?

They don’t care—they just want you to buy the latest full-priced *Call of Duty*. In their mind, you might also pick up a couple of skin bundles and a battle pass. It’s all about the money.

    2. Because Microsoft bought the rights to those generation games on their digital store so they can lie to you about what backwards compatibility is.

Because its much more complicated for Sony than it is for Xbox.

Sony thought it was a good idea to make a custom CPU for the PS3 which they abandoned for the PS4 to go back to a more “normal” CPU. Thats why the PS5 is only backwards compatible with the PS4.

    4. Because they know if they remaster the old games including multiplayer no one is going to buy the future cods, that’s the reason they remastered only the campaign of 2009 mw2

Just get a cheep PS3 super slim , install HEN on it and run the Pkgi store and have access to every COD for free and also play them online for free 🫡

    6. PS3 ran on a very different architecture design (Cell). It was quite powerful for what was available at the time, but required many ps3 only developer decisions and complexity.

It’s why many ps3 exclusives look so good, and Multiplatform games were often worse on ps3 until later in the lifecycle when developers figured them out.

Xbox has always been fairly similar, especially with DirectX (reason for Xbox name ) being at the core design.

I’d recommended looking into RPCS3 for how complicated ps3 emulation has been, they are making great progress though.
