It has Haxchi installed. But when I try and start Haxchi the screen goes black and no buttons work. I’m new to this – is there anything I should do? (I would like to keep it modded btw. Can I update to a newer homebrew?)

https://wiiu.hacks.guide/ should have all the info you need make sure to follow it exactly older homebrew CAN brick your console if removed incorrectly
I would recommend installing aroma from scratch, haxchi and tiramisu aren’t being “supported” anymore.

New apps are developed for aroma and not tiramisu.
Also install SDUSB.
