    Ain’t no fucking way they kicked me out just to agree to TOS



    They deadass logged me out just to have me accept TOS. Like, they couldn't wait until I turned my PS5 back on later?

      No, because laws dont work on your time. They needed everyone to agree in order to comply with a new UK law

      There should be some sort of law that prevents ToS from being added or changed AFTER you purchased something.

      And 100% refunds should be required by law if don’t agree, since you usually can’t see these until AFTER the purchase.

      Unfortunately they have to do this for legal reasons

      EULA’s aren’t “opt out” for good reason, they’re opt in, which is a good thing for the consumer , if this EULA said “we’re going to revoke all your digital purchases right now” you can just not agree to the new EULA and stop using Sony products just fine and you can’t be punished for that

      What it essentially means legally is that you’re not being subjected to some absolute bs you didn’t agree to or didn’t know about because legally you agreed to the EUIA

      Of course barely anyone reads them, but the world would be in a much worse place without them
