I think it was a great way to experience old games in an accessible way. It’s a shame they didn’t continue with a SNES remix. The pessimist in me thinks maybe these were fairly cheap/quick games made specifically to pad out the constant Wii U droughts, which might be why we didn’t see it continue in the Switch era. Either way, they were a fun time for what they were

I really liked them, i wanted a new one for a long time and the recent NES World Championships wasnt quite the same but i still liked it.

I wish they let you play the full levels as other characters

I haven’t played them, but they seem like a great concept, that they kinda brought back with the NES championship game on switch

Never heard of it

Never got around to buying or playing it honestly- looked interesting though back then
Wish this would get ported over to the Switch though… and either a new game or a SNES Remix too

Was never a fan with this mini challenges. Give me some full version classics instead.

A series with a ton of potential, I’d instantly buy it if they did this with snes, game boy or n64 games. It’d be super cool with GameCube games as well but I’m not sure how they would go about feasibly doing that.

I’d prefer this than playing the actual OG version most of the time. I can’t get into 99% of NES and SNES games so this makes it much more palatable. Still, it’s on bottom of my list of Nintendo wants. I’d rather just have a Wario Ware.

It’s a full game of 9-Volt WarioWare levels. They should make another.

I loved it! Too bad my friends weren’t too into it. Good fun for a couch party game

It is VERY fun. I have the 3ds version and I always come back to it. I’m a zucker for 8 bit sprites.

I really enjoyed it, and wish they brought it back on Switch. No idea why they haven’t.

Disappointing.
Instead of exploring interesting mixups of NES games, it felt more like an advertisement for the eShop.
And guides to some of the popular points players may have been stuck at.

I haven’t played much from it, I only ever got the second game on Wii U, But I hold the soundtracks of both games very dearly to my heart (I have it in my soundtrack collection. (Also yeah I have a soundtrack collection lmao 😭))
Genuinely the records theme from NES remix 1 is so good, I’ve listened to it during therapy sessions before, It sets he mood perfectly I love it so much 😀

Just like the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition game, a lot of potential but a very shallow experience. It’s fun for a couple of days and that’s it.

I was just playing the second game tonight. I can’t get enough of these. I bought both when they came out on the Wii U, and the condensed 3DS version too.
The remix stages are really cool and present some crazy challenges. Some people didn’t like the other part, but I love those little bite sized runs through classic games. Sometimes I just want to get a taste of Punch Out or Metroid rather than play the whole game. They are presented as challenges and they are timed and all, but really you’re doing a quick truncated run through the game in tiny pieces.
That’s why the Switch game didn’t appeal to me as much, which really is set up as a challenge mode.
Shame they didn’t do more and the original full titles are now seemingly forever left in Wii U limbo, but they’ll always be something I break out every once in a while.

Would be cool to see them do an SNES remix
Sure was there
