Housemarque follows on from Returnal with Saros – cut from the same cloth, but refined and improved in all areas. Built on Unreal Engine 5 with extensive customisation from Housemarque, this is a beautiful, visually distinctive game that is challenging but perhaps not quite as off-putting as its predecessor. Oliver takes us through the game's visual features, how Housemarque has evolved its formule and how the new game compares between PS5 and Pro.

Looks great on both systems, but I’m a little surprised by some noticeable pop-in on BOTH systems, that you can see in this video, like at 10:26.
housemarque don’t really miss lately
returnal already felt super polished so this being “approachable” is kinda interesting
hope they didn’t tone it down too much tho, the chaos was the fun part
if you want optimization you have to accept pop-ins i guess.
nanite is very expensive for consoles i guess. you use nanite, you have to lose something else.
i can see why CapCom developed it’s own engine instead of using Unreal Engine 5
The shooting is soo much smoother in Pragmata
and Sony is asking way too much for an Unreal Engine 5 game, a premium price should have a premium engine
this game should’ve been priced at $50
I was going to wait for a PC release but I’ll buy this on the Pro later on launch. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the minor screen tearing at the top of the screen so here’s to hoping it gets patched out eventually. I loved Returnal so this should be a blast.
Do his parents not let him review games anymore or why does he speak from a closet
I buy housemarque games like i buy naughty dog or rockstar games… Without question.
