Yeah, because there’s no example of a single player Final Fantasy game.

Warcraft would make the perfect single player experience as an introduction to consoles. But the way blizzard is atm..it’s sorely lacking in talent and loyalty to the warcraft universe. They can’t separate our world with a fantasy world.

I mean…wtf is there it pitch? Lol you just make a single player spin off version of it.
If anything id say if youre going to make a single player version you need to make the quest design more interesting than walking back and forth between people and watching very static repetitive animations while reading text
I loved FFXVI but that would be my biggest criticism about that game and probably my biggest criticism about FFXIV as well. The side questing design is just kind of repetitive and needs more work

pause – he wants the public to conceptualize his game for him? 🤣🤣
he’s gonna make millions off of others ideas and input and doing so blatantly is kinda wild

Sure.
What about a single player offline version of the very same game?

Here’s my pitch, final fetch quest. You run back and forth and have a shit ton of exposition with characters you will never see again. No voice acting. Fuck that. But I want a shit ton of unnecessary exposition that adds nothing to any character development or overall plot. We want to make sure the player really tunes out when we sneak in something that might matter. And lots of errands. I mean back and forth between the same two characters multiple times in a row. Walking. Maybe make one play hide and seek just because.Â

1.0 remade as a single player rpg. Lots of story lost to time.

Funny that Yoshi-P is asking that specific question.
The other MMO from the SAME frigging company that he directed before FFXIV had done that already.
Dragon Quest X offline edition.
A single player version of DQ X (MMO) that captured the abridged version of the narrative of base game and first two expansion, that played like classic DQ game. You can import the character and story progress to DQ X Online once they beat the offline version to continue the story.
Honestly, FF XIV could do exactly the same. Release the entire Ascian saga (ARR to End Walker) in style of classic FF from SNES era with abridged storyline. Once it’s over, you can import the progress to Online version to carry on from Dawn Trail and onward expansion.

Prequel game where you play as a lone dragoon from Ishgard sent to infiltrate Garlemald or something. Jumping around in snowy cityscapes and shit. With a hidden Zenos super boss that’s twice as difficult as anything in the series

How about a single player version of FFXI?

Oh oh oh!
For non-OG NES-era SQEX gamers, Dragon Warrior IV had you play across several chapters of story where each chaoter was a different character – with everyone coming together in the last chapter where you start out as the main protagonist.
Use that, but with ***The Scions***!

He knows the answer. He just needs enough people to say it so he can sell it to the bosses.

You already did that Yoshi, FF16 questlines were as dull as a singleplayer MMO.

They had a single player spin off. It was ff16 right down to the quest design and advanced hand holding systems. Produced by him no less.
