Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced doesn’t bother with the original’s DLC or multiplayer because Ubisoft is focusing on a “pure, story-driven adventure”

Did they mentioned if they also got rid of the whole boring Abstergo stuff and just focused on the main story?

    2. But the DLC is also a pure story-driven adventure, and although they won’t include the multiplayer and the game will be entirely single player, it will still require an internet connection to install and maybe play when there is no need to. This is bullshit.

    3. I’m sorry but you just can’t convince me that Ubisoft is doing this as anything other than a cost cutting measure, especially when they’re selling a £60 deluxe edition of a remaster of a 13 year old game.

My hope is that if this does well we’ll get an ezio trilogy resynced… imagine Florence/venice and Rome with that glorious engine.

Ubisoft doesn’t bother putting the content we actually want to see remade in the remake. Multiplayer was fun as hell and its a shame no modern AC game is trying to do multiplayer anymore.

    6. I hoping for the Freedom Cry DLC but I wasn’t really expecting it since they were expanding the main game.

    7. Pfft, I’ve heard that one before, only for them to walk it back after a few months.

Full price for a remake with none of the previous version’s DLC or modes. Lol, better than nothing from ubislop.

Focusing on a pure, story-driven adventure? Idk if they’re aware at Ubisoft, but Freedom Cry is about an ex-slave going to Haiti and liberating the slave trade there. Seems like there’s some kind of story there.

I get it. I always thought Freedom Cry was strong enough to extrapolate into its own game. Lone former enslaved Assassin fighting to free slaves from the triangle trade? That’s an inherently interesting story

An AC 3 remake would be interesting. That game has a lot of pacing issues but the actual story is really damn good. I think people shit on that game too much.

It probably wouldn’t happen though since an Ezio trilogy remake would sell way better.

    12. Cutting the modern story and multiplayer makes sense. Let’s be honest, these were the least popular things about the game.

But man will I be really annoyed if they decide to charge for the DLC later down the road. Hopefully it’ll be free if they decide to do it.

I hope they use this work as a new foundation to explore the proper pirating game we all wanted back at release. Use this to get people re-interested then start development on a fresh pirate IP. I’d give it a chance.

“Pure, story-driven adventure” = we’re doing the bare minimum we can while still trying to sell it like a new retail game.

    15. I can’t believe Ubisoft would remake AC Black Flag without also including AC 1, AC 2, AC:B, AC:Re, AC 3, AC: Li, and AC:Ro all in the same package. I mean, it’s been 13 years, what else have they been doing?

Don’t they have unlimited time and resources like the rest of us? /s

Let’s be real it’s so they can sell us a remade version of this in a few months
