You failed to mention that he removes his CMOS battery. Which plays a part in playing your digital games offline.
Edit: Does he have his console set as home? All we see him do is hold up a little CMOS battery, launch a game and slam on shitty soundboard stuff.

Disconnect from the internet for a long time and digital game licenses would expire until you connect again (assuming the console is Primary)
