    PSN license check (visual to help people understand)



    Sony has provided a statement to GameSpot regarding the PSN license checks:

    "Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required."

      I’ve always thought physical disks are safer, but there’s been a lot of misinformation about this story. I understand that PS has become “unpopular” for many, but things need to be carefully evaluated.

      As long as you purchase the game via PSN and download it on your console this won’t effect anyone.

      The fact that Sony couldn’t just do this and communicate this better in the first place is just so mind-boggling to me.

      So, this is in case you refund the game in the first 14 days. Otherwise, you could download a game, take your console offline, refund the game, and continue to play it indefinitely. Which makes this look like a response to customer fraud.

      Can we all collectively agree to stop with this nonsense? No it’s not locking you out of your games, no you don’t have to re buy the game again.

      And if you don’t login during 14 / 30 days, the game stays locked until you log back in. Good luck whenever they shut the servers down or you lose access to internet due of i.e internet issues, going away from your house for a long time, have to move etc.
