I bought a second hand exelent condition ps5 slim digital from back market 1000 gb but i only have 667 gb why is this

    1. It likely isn’t a 1TB version of the console, but instead a 825GB version of the console. When the console has 825GB of overall storage, only 667GB is available to the user.

    2. PS5 Slim Digital is 825GB (at least the newer revisions). Out of those 825GB only 667GB are available (actually less, cause when you fill it up the system need about 30gigs for…stuff..)
      Check the box it should say 825GB on the front actually

      Edit: apparently the original Slim Digital launched with 1TB, but the new CFI-2110 was silently downgraded to 825GB.

      Which sucks, yes, but only partially. On the other hand you probably got the all-matte body and the newly updated cooling system (PS5-Pro style heatsink with deeper groves for better liquid metal distribution over the chip). It’s also the quietest version of them all (around -38dB) although that might vary depending on your fan model and coil whine lottery. Mine is so quiet I am still surprised 1month later

      You have the 825GB version and some of the space is occupied by the actual console software.

      You have an 825GB version of the console. This is the same size as the original (fat) console.
