So, every subscription option for Xbox Essentials essentially doesn’t work except for the “one month” option. On top of that physical essential subscription have been purged from all retailers in my area. Interesting.

i’m paying $24 every 3 months for essential
That’s crap. I am not paying $120 a year to play Xbox games online. They need to either make online play free or decouple it from Essential and take it back down to $60/yr. Stores like Gamestop are selling 12 months for $75 and PlayStation’s PS+ lower tier is $80/yr so Xbox needs to cut the shit here.
Since when you can choose 12 months option.
My advice would be to shop around and get it from a separate retailer.
Here in the UK you can get a year from Argos, Smyths, Loaded, ShopTo, etc. for cheaper. Don’t buy it direct if you don’t have to.
