Whether you like AI or not, transparency on whether or not it is used in development is a good thing.
Be honest and let consumers decide for themselves.

You are few years late for this Epic Vs Steam thing.

There are no consequences for not disclosing AI on Steam, because there’s no objective way to verify if something was made with AI.

Please clarify “made with” vs “some was used during development”, and code vs assets matters waaaaay differently

even if i have no issue whatsoever with AI and i laugh at people getting made about ai being used because they realised their jobs can easily be replaced… having the “this was made/partially made using AI” type thing is always handy so i know what to support so any game or art/etc that is human made doesnt get my support. 🗿 (but in all seriousness. its always good for the transparency lol)

im definitly more anti AI, but i still dont think it should be banned since it will only fill the market with undisclosed AI games, it should definitly be tagged as ai however

If AI games are so good, why do companies want to hide they are made with AI.

I want a game made by talented people instead of relying on ai to use info already in the world to create a shit game

None of these titles that are skating by without AI disclosures are getting removed

There could only be 1 good ai game ever and I doubt we’ll ever get it, and basically the idea is you just tell ai what you want to do and where you want to do it and it generates a game in front of you. Like tell it “I want to play a side scrolling ww2 themed run and gun game” and it makes an original metal slug style game which whatever extra stuff you want whenever you promt the ai. Or tell it “I want to a vigilante hero in a crime filled town” and it makes you batman or Dick Tracy with a cape or something and uses Google maps and stuff to simulate downtown NYC. Sky could be the limit with ai but they don’t want to give us that because then we’d never buy another game ever again.
