I’ve been an Xbox guy since the original and I love it don’t get me wrong but man the habit of absolutely drowning them in praise after they do basic shit has got to stop

As an Xbox fan it’s been a weird journey but it’s still my favourite place to game and always will be.
No other console offers me four generations worth of games, okay it’s not every single game but by large it is the majority of what I want to play and the enhancements are like the best cherry on top ever.
I don’t really get a ton of money to spend on games with a mortgage so Game Pass is really good and now ultimates back down to £17 I resub straight up.
Achievements/controller preferences etc plus the games they’re pumping out are frikkin awesome.
I just want Xbox to stand on its own feet again, to make Halo a center piece for competitive gaming again or Gears. But I think newer generations probably find the formulas pretty basic and boring these days.
Either way, I agree 🙂

If I’m being honest. Even in its lowest points of the Xbox one era, i still always been happy with my Xbox, even if the company was making some dumb choices.

Back when I didn’t even had an Xbox I had my Xbox subs active and still buying games for it. I love this green monster:)

I want microsoft/xbox have the balls to do marketing deals like stupid sony do, they have so much money to make deals idk why they don’t do it. Be like 360 era, deals and deals with company’s for their games, why you don’t make a deal with disney to make a mandalorian game? Or with marvel and make a daredevil game? The answers are there man

Pretty sure it’s Microsoft/Xbox eager to take us for granted

Being a Xbox fan is like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. Microsoft will give you hope pivet and then shoot themselves in the foot.

If theres abother superior product for cheaper you bet your ass ill take xbox for granted
This dude really is happy with ultimate being 24$ for a lackluster pool of games. (Per price point)
300$ a year is spent towards game pass. Thats 5 AAA titles day 1 purchases.
With xbox exclusives being whored out, it just boils down to what’s the best product for the cheapest price.
Whoever gives up their live network for free will probably win if the tech is the same.

It is a certain truth that we take too many things for granted. I’ve seen it time and time again; the things we love that feel like they *should* be forever are rarely more than a generation away from being taken from us.

I am optimistic again now that Spencer is gone. But in the end what counts is my experience when using my xbox. The playstation is smooth while the xbox feels clunky to me.

Fuck, Xbox is a product of one of the (sometimes the) largest company in the world. We don’t take it for granted, we are the customers. They take us for granted, they owe us a compelling product, we don’t owe them shit.

Interesting how this wave of positive news came after Asha became CEO. She is making the right moves so far. She has been credited for bringing up numbers for Instacart and FB Messenger.

No, I’d say Xbox is taking us for granted if anything.
Phil Spencer spent a decade aquiring studio after studio. Investing billions, tens of billions even into Xbox’s game catelogue. And what do we have to show for it? Botched Halo releases, a million cancelled games, and Starfield?
Xbox seems to simply think being one of “The Big Three” is enough to sustain a loyal consumer base. But they haven’t been putting out the kind of system-selling exclusives that actually bring in loyal fans.
2020 and the new generation was a chance for Xbox to reshape their place in the market. Use all those new studios to release a bunch of new AA games, to give customers an alternative to Sony’s cinematic AAA formula, which was starting to get a bit old. Make Xbox the “fun, straight to the action” brand it was back on the 360 era.
They fumbled the bag. No one else is responsible for that.

Idk, the series consoles aren’t bad, but I find myself playing my series x a lot less than I did my one x… I guess take that for what it’s worth.

Exactly my same feelings. I absolutely love my xbox series x and my upgraded xbox one x. They’ve worked well for me in my house, where me and my wife have a single game pass subscription and are able to play online co-op or anything similar using both consoles. Microsoft makes a lot of mistakes, but nothing can ever take away from the insane backwards compatibility on the expansive digital library I’ve built over the years.

I’m still a fan ! But I also dislike so many things about the ps ( don’t care about their exclusives, hate the controller , find the UI to be reallllllly bad . Also the ps5 itself is hideous. If I had one I’d have to find a way to disguise it . It’s such a eye sore . ). I just have a heavy preference for Xbox and have never minded being in the minority , especially when the issue is “which plastic box is better?”

The thing i love about xbox is that my homies all use xbox. If they all changed to steam so would I.
Games are interchangable, but the dudes are not.
I want to caution Xbox against taking *us* for granted because they do not have the stranglehold on us that they used to.
