Trying to get this turbo controller to work on ps5 (injustice 2)

I used this pad a long time ago to farm cosmetics via endless towers on injustice 2. Now my son is playing the game and wants to do the same thing but I can’t get the controller to turbo-mash X.

Any help or ideas please?
