I just got a brand new charger for my 3DS, because I lost it back when I was in elementary school, and I haven't been able to access this device since. I got it charged up, and then remembered this issue I've had for a while, even before I lost the charging cable somehow.
Also, this is most definitely the fault of kid me being bored as hell. I remember I was in the car with my family when my 3DS died way before we were close to home, and I decided to play around with the SD card holder, and then I started messing with the SD card itself. I ended up putting it back in completely wrong, which got it stuck, and when we got back home for my dad to look at it, when he was able to get it unstuck, he said that I destroyed the card somehow (I don't remember it that well), so it wouldn't work properly anymore. He got me a replacement SD card, and from then on, I'd get this message constantly. I don't know how to make it go away. Is it even possible to fix it at this point?
Update: Thanks to Space_Captain_Jeice, the problem has been resolved!

You can see a little black thing on the side, you need to slide it down.
The write protect switch inside the sd slot on your 3DS broke so it no longer recognizes that its writable. Β Replace the slot
Flip the switch on the SD card
Tape the slider in the unlock position.
