It was never about making games cheaper for us but making them bigger profits and the millionaire investors making even more millions for nothing

It makes games cheaper to produce as they’re not making physical copies, but that in no way is going to imply they will lower ps game prices
LandonKB on
Of course it won’t, lol why would it?

No one with a brain has ever indicated that this was going to make games cheaper.

Well… obviously not.
I can order Wolverine from amazon France for 62(+5 shipping) euro. Or get it for 80 euro digitally. Once physical is gone, that cheaper option is also gone. They sure as hell ain’t going to sell it for 60 euro on the PSN.

Since when has reducing supply ever made an item cheaper?

May be cheaper for distribution but absolutely not for the consumer, how many times have you ever seen game codes on discount in game shops or anywhere that sells them

If there’s anyone out there that believes this then they probably deserve to be exploited and taken advantage of

People are overthinking this topic way too much.
It’s as much a non issue as the end of the beeper industry was when cell phones took their place.

Nobody ever said that about retail price. It will make them cheaper to publish/distribute for sure though.
