As I posted in another post (now deleted): Needless to say, however you feel on this, this sucks for those developers who worked on this game for many years now, and I can’t imagine the amount of stress the developers across all of Rockstar Games studios. My sympathies to everyone over there (and the folks on the union as well), you all deserve better than this 🙁

Devs aren’t hurting. The game has been made and finished. They still get paid and aren’t involved in any way.
This is an attack on the company that has treated us like money bags for 13 years and have actively abandoned the third most popular game of all time in favour of more gta money.
Screw rockstar and take two. They get what they deserve.

I think video game developers are basically the only group of people in the world who get empathy in this particular way. Nobody cares about the ‘poor engineers’ at Apple when a product gets leaked. We all love this industry and the products we consume, but it always makes me chuckle a bit when this standard only seems to apply to this particular group of people. Nobody else’s job is treated this way.
