I am pretty sure the switch successor will be in 2025.
You’ve got all of this new stuff, along with a couple remakes. Everything’s been announced in the past year. Then you’ve just got Metroid Prime 4, having been announced the same year as the Switch released, without anything other than a teaser and a dev update that said development was restarting. Even that was 5 years ago.
We’ve known about Metroid Prime 4 without knowing anything about Metroid Prime 4 for the entire lifespan of the Nintendo Switch.
